I have had an idea seeded in the ruins of my mind, that I may be able to teach the great unwashed a thing or two about the making of tunes with machines.
So at some point in the near future, I will post an article here which attempts to explain some aspect of electronic music......probably, but not definitely, how synths work and which controls to grab.
The purpose of doing it here is simple.......I doubt many of my 7 or so readers could decode SMPTE EBU MIDI IA LA PDM AWM or whatever......perfect test material.
If you guys come out of this going "we'll it's little dark, so I'll open the cuttoff, and a bit fat so I'll add a teeny spot of res, and it's very stale so a touch of lfo with a slight delay"....I've won.
(one day I may also do an article on how to get a good noise from a Korg M1 without hitting it or dropping it or sawing it)
